Will Meth Show Up in Your Drug Tests?

Mar 20, 2022 | Drug Detox

Meth is probably one of the most common drugs spreading as quickly as a wildfire in our country. It’s one of the cheaper drugs found in the market, and now, people can easily find a dealer on the streets.

This meth and drug epidemic is something that we’ve been trying to fight off as a country. Although instead of seeing a decline in drug use, more and more people have been addicted to meth in recent years.

This is the exact opposite of what we’ve been trying to achieve, which is such a shame.

Here at Taylor Recovery, we believe that it’s only a matter of time before we see a decline in drug use around the United States of America – not just in Houston, Texas. This is something that we hope for, and this is a cause that we’re supporting as a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.

One of the more popular questions that we’re always getting asked is this: will meth show up in your drug tests?

This is a valid concern, especially if you’ve given up drug use for quite a bit of time.

Although, the answer to this question will vary depending on the drug test method you’re taking.

  • Blood Test

This type of test can detect meth quicker after it’s been consumed, and a blood test can continually detect the meth in your system for one to three days after your last use.

  • Saliva Test

When testing with saliva, this can reveal the presence of meth for around one to four days after your last use.

  • Urine Test

If the drug is still in your system, a urine test can detect meth from one to four days after your last use. Although if you’re chronically using meth, this can be detected for up to a week.

  • Hair Follicle Test

When it comes to this type of test, meth can be detected in your system for up to three months after your last use.

Dealing with drugs is never easy, especially if you need to take a drug test. So each individual must keep these things in mind if they would somehow need to take a drug test for any reason.
